Admissions

Lake Hills Montessori Admission Policies

Our program is a three to four year traditional Montessori Primary program and the optimal time to enter is at 3 years of age or a little before. Children remain at Lake Hills Montessori through the age of six. Admitting children at the first year of the Primary cycle ensures that they continue to learn and grow in that environment. Students at Lake Hills Montessori are then prepared to move on to their next educational experience with confidence and skill. In following this procedure we are able to maintain the integrity of the classroom and offer all students a quality Montessori educational environment. Children ages four and five years old are considered for enrollment on an individual basis, with preference given to transferring Montessori students.
Acceptance of any applicant is based on the child's readiness for our Montessori program as determined by the administrator, teacher, and parents. Children must be toilet trained by their first day of school.
In our effort to create an educational environment true to the philosophy of Dr. Montessori, relatively even distribution of boys, girls, and ages is critical to the success of our classroom. LHM thus reserves the right to prioritize admission to the school on the basis of a child's age, or gender.
Lake Hills Montessori does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, color, nationality, ethnic origin or religion.

Admission Priorities

The following priorities are observed in determining admissions:
  • Currently enrolled students
  • Siblings of currently enrolled students
  • Balance of age and gender in the classroom
  • Alumni Families
  • Transfer students from other Montessori schools
